Core Breakthrough: Excellent Results in Metro Testing

Recently, the improved FCM-20K rail grinding train, jointly developed by our company and China Railway Construction High-tech Equipment Co., Ltd., achieved a breakthrough in a special test on a metro line. Test results show that at a grinding speed of 6km/h, the train accurately meets the customer's core precision requirements, with the rail surface roughness controlled within 10μm, and the cumulative grinding mileage of a single grinding wheel exceeding 95km. Multiple key indicators performed excellently, providing a new technical support for the efficient operation and maintenance of urban rail transit.

As an important cooperative achievement focusing on the innovation of rail maintenance equipment, the improved FCM-20K grinding train has been optimized and upgraded in multiple dimensions for the particularity of metro line operation scenarios on the basis of inheriting the core advantages of the original model. Equipped with an advanced profiling grinding unit and adaptive gauge system, the train can intelligently identify changes in rail profile, dynamically adjust grinding angle and pressure, effectively solve common rail surface defect repair problems in metro lines, and achieve dual improvement in operation efficiency and grinding quality.

This special test strictly followed the urban rail transit rail grinding operation standards, simulated complex working conditions in actual operation and maintenance, and focused on verifying the performance stability of the train under different operating parameters. Test data shows that at an efficient operating speed of 6km/h, the rail surface roughness is stably controlled below 10μm, which is far better than the relevant industry acceptance standards. The ground rail surface has good smoothness, which can significantly reduce train operation noise and improve passenger travel comfort. At the same time, the outstanding achievement of the cumulative grinding mileage of a single grinding wheel exceeding 95km is much longer than the service life of traditional grinding wheels, which will effectively reduce the consumable replacement cost and operation interruption frequency in metro operation and maintenance, and improve the overall maintenance efficiency.
